What would be my starting salary?

You’ll usually need to be paid at least £20,480. If the ‘going rate’ for your job is higher than £20,480, you’ll usually need to be paid at least the going rate. Each occupation code has its own annual going rate. How you find the going rate depends on your job.

 

For the below occupation codes, you’ll usually need to be paid at least £25,600 per year or £10.10 per hour, whichever is higher. If the ‘going rate’ for your job is higher than both of these, you’ll usually need to be paid at least the going rate.

What if I am under the age of 26, then what are the requirements?

You can be paid 70% of your job’s usual going rate if one of the following applies: Your total stay in the UK cannot be more than 4 years if you apply for one of these reasons. This includes any time you’ve already spent in the UK on a Tier 2 (General) work visa, though you can apply under the different visa / occupation code subject to UK Home Office Changes at the time of application.

  • you’re currently in the UK on a Student visa studying at bachelor’s degree level or above – or you have been in the last 2 years, and a Student or visit visa was your most recent visa
  • you’re currently in the UK on a Graduate Entrepreneur visa
  • you’ll be working towards a recognised qualification in a UK regulated profession
  • you’ll be working towards full registration or chartered status in the job you’re being sponsored for

 

What knowledge of English would be required?

You can only take a SELT with one of the following providers:

  • IELTS SELT Consortium
  • LanguageCert
  • Pearson
  • PSI Services (UK) Ltd

 

 

How much it costs?

  • Initial Consultation/Sponsorship Fee at the time of application – GBP 5000 per candidate.
  • Prevailing UK Home Office Application Fee – As of 01-10-2022, GBP 247 per person for up to 3 years and GBP 479 per person for more than 5 years.
  • You must have at least GBP 1,270 in your bank account to show you can support yourself in the UK. You will need to have had the money available for at least 28 days in a row. Day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for this visa. You’ll usually need to show proof of this when you apply, unless either: you’ve been in the UK with a valid visa for at least 12 months – or – your employer can cover your costs during your first month in the UK.
  • If you partner or children are travelling with you, they will need to pay all of the above fees, plus: GBP 285 for your partner, GBP 315 for one child, and GBP 200 for each additional child.

Can I get a faster decision?

  • Each application is submitted at its own merit. However, we can guide you to apply under faster route. You may be able to get a decision: within 5 working days (‘priority service’) – or – by the end of the next working day (‘super priority service’)
  • For each family member applying with you, you’ll need to pay an additional:
  • £500, to get a decision within 5 working days and/or £800, to get a decision by the end of the next working day, (if you apply with members of your family, you’ll get a decision for everyone at the same time).
